- How much does SPC laminate flooring cost in Kenya?
- Our standard plank finishes (PF and SO series) are KSh 2,000 per square metre supplied and fitted anywhere in Nairobi. The 1508 chevron shades are KSh 3,000 per square metre supplied and fitted. PVC skirting is KSh 750 per 8 ft (2.4 m) piece. Prices already include labour, so the figure you see is the figure you pay.
- Is SPC flooring better than ceramic tiles for Kenyan homes?
- For living rooms, bedrooms and offices, yes — SPC is warmer underfoot, quieter, faster to install (no curing time), and it will not crack if something heavy is dropped on it. Tiles still make sense in wet rooms such as bathrooms and outdoor terraces. SPC is 100% waterproof, so kitchen spills, mopping and laundry areas are no problem.
- Will SPC flooring survive Kenya's humidity and the coastal climate?
- The core is stone-plastic composite — limestone powder plus stabilisers — so it does not absorb water and does not swell, warp or delaminate the way MDF-core laminate does. That makes it a safe choice in Mombasa, Malindi, Kisumu and other humid areas as well as in Nairobi's cool, damp seasons.
- Do termites or jiggers attack SPC laminate?
- No. There is no natural wood or wood fibre in an SPC plank, so there is nothing for termites to feed on — a common failure point with solid timber and older HDF laminates in Kenya.
- Can SPC be installed over my existing tiles or cement screed?
- Usually yes. SPC is a floating click-lock floor, so we lay it directly over sound tiles, terrazzo or a level cement screed with an acoustic underlay. We only need the subfloor to be clean, dry and reasonably level; minor levelling is part of our prep.
- How long does installation take?
- A typical three-bedroom Nairobi apartment (about 90–110 m²) is completed in one to two days. Small rooms and single offices are often finished in a single day, and you can move furniture back the same evening — there is no glue or curing wait.
- Do you deliver and install outside Nairobi?
- We supply and install across Kenya. Nairobi and metro areas (Westlands, Kilimani, Karen, Runda, Lavington, Syokimau, Kitengela, Athi River) are covered at standard rates; for upcountry and coastal jobs such as Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu and Eldoret we quote transport and accommodation separately once we know the area size.
- How do I measure my floor area for a quote?
- Multiply the length by the width of each room in metres and add the rooms together. For example a 4 m × 5 m bedroom is 20 m². Add roughly 5% for cuts and wastage. If you send us your floor plan or room dimensions on WhatsApp we will do the calculation for you free of charge.
- How do I clean and maintain SPC flooring?
- Sweep or vacuum, then damp-mop with plain water or a mild neutral cleaner. Avoid abrasive scourers, steam mops and strong solvents. Use felt pads under furniture legs and a doormat at entrances to keep out sand and dust — the biggest cause of surface dulling in Kenyan homes.
- Do you offer a warranty?
- Yes — the planks carry a 15-year residential wear warranty, and our fitting workmanship is guaranteed. Keep your quote reference and invoice; that is all we need to attend to any claim.
- Can I see and touch samples before ordering?
- Yes. Our showroom is on Airport North Road, Nairobi. We are open Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Call or WhatsApp ahead and we will have the finishes you are interested in laid out for you.
- How do I pay and how soon can you start?
- We confirm the final area on site, then work on a deposit for material with the balance on completion. Stocked finishes can usually be scheduled within two to three working days of confirmation.
